Truth Comes in Stillness
There is nothing more urgent than slowing down.
Nothing.
In a society / culture / family that values above all else productivity, accomplishments, acquiring material possessions,
it is a radical act to pause, to slow down
to ask ourselves
we who are
what we truly want
how we want to be
It is a radical act to show up for who we abandoned long ago:
Our Self (capital S).
I don’t want to reach the end of my life wondering
“What else might have been possible?”
… if I took that risk?
… if I prioritized my health?
… if I rewrote the story I kept telling myself?
… if I actually showed up for the person I was meant to become?
When we slow down, get quiet, and drop in
We can hear what’s below the surface -
that still, small voice that’s pleading to be heard.
Truth comes in stillness.
I’m listening.
Are you?
What do you hear when you slow down?
